On March 1, BYD officially announced the pricing for the Song Pro DM-i Honor Edition, which is offered in five trim levels with prices ranging from 109,800 yuan to 139,800 yuan.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 1, BYD officially announced the pricing for the Song Pro DM-i Honor Edition, which is offered in five trim levels with prices ranging from 109,800 yuan to 139,800 yuan.

With the launch of the Song Pro Honor Edition, the compact SUV powered by BYD's DM-i technology enters the coveted sub-100,000-yuan range, adhering to BYD's slogan of making "electric vehicle is cheaper than oil-fuel ones". Its NEDC-rated fuel consumption is impressively low at 4.4L/100km when lack of electricity, and with a full tank and battery, it boasts a combined range of up to 1,090km.

Worth noting is that the Song Pro DM-i Honor Edition has incorporated high-end features to the entry-level model. In terms of exterior aesthetics, the vehicle showcases a large front grille adorned with chrome virtual-line elements, coupled with matte chrome trim strips running above the grille, enhancing its overall recognition. The upgraded design of the side air intakes adds a more pronounced and sporty touch, resembling fangs at the grille's edge.

Moving to the rear, while maintaining consistency with the Champion Edition, the vehicle boasts a through-type taillight cluster that ensures high visibility during nighttime. The black anti-scratch protective panel at the rear contributes to enhancing the SUV's rugged appeal.

The Song Pro DM-i Honor Edition measure 4,738/1,860/1,710mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,712mm.

Inside, the vehicle adopts a classic family design, featuring a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a large rotatable central control screen, and rounded rectangular air vents, giving it a youthful and tech-savvy appearance. The interior color scheme incorporates vibrant elements, particularly the addition of orange, significantly enhancing its fashion-forward appeal.

Under the hood, the new model is powered by a 1.5L engine dedicated to PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) applications, boasting a maximum output of 81 kW, and an electric motor that is good for 145 kW. Based on different configuration packages, its NEDC driving range varies between 71km and 110km, providing consumers with options to suit their preferences.
