French renewable energy provider Neoen secures over 1.1 billion Australian dollars in financing for Australian projects

【French renewable energy provider Neoen secures substantial financing】On Tuesday, February 27th, local time, the French company Neoen, which specializes in renewable energy production, announced the completion of a debt financing agreement. The company has secured over 1.1 billion Australian dollars (approximately 51.9 billion RMB) in new capital from a consortium of large banks from multiple countries, with debt terms ranging from five to seven years. This funding will primarily support three solar power plants in Australia, as well as two wind farms or wind power facilities. Additionally, the construction of the 877MWh Collie Battery energy storage facility in Western Australia is also set to benefit from this financing, with the first phase expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of this year. It is reported that Chinese banks including Bank of China, China Construction Bank, as well as HSBC in Hong Kong, have also participated in the investment.
