BYD recently revealed the interior design of its upcoming model, the Yuan UP, the first small-sized full-electric SUV to ride on BYD's e-Platform 3.0.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD recently revealed the interior design of its upcoming model, the Yuan UP, the first small-sized full-electric SUV to ride on BYD's e-Platform 3.0. It is slated for market launch in March this year.

The official images showcase the simplicity and sophistication of the Yuan UP's interior. Featuring an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 12.8-inch floating touchscreen, the dashboard also incorporates physical buttons for ease of use. The crystal-adorned electronic gear shift lever complements the overall aesthetic, and the vehicle comes equipped with wireless charging functionality for mobile phones.

The seats and door panels of the new model are upholstered in plush leather, enhancing both comfort and luxury. The rhombic design on the seats adds a touch of vitality, while the predominantly white and dark gray interior colors create an elegant and refreshing atmosphere.

The standout feature of the Yuan UP lies in its distinctive exterior design. Adhering to the iconic Yuan series family emblem placement, the model integrates the small seal script "元" logo into a black front grille panel. Compared to other models in the Yuan series, the Yuan UP boasts elongated and sharp headlights, emphasizing a heightened sense of layers.

Moreover, the unique design of the front lower bumper includes exaggerated air channels on either side, adorned with large black panels embedded with chrome accents, providing the vehicle with a robust and highly recognizable appearance.

Moving to the rear, the BYD Yuan UP adopts a through-type taillight assembly, and the top of the rear is equipped with a segmented spoiler, coupled with a large-sized diffuser, highlighting a strong sense of sportiness. The vehicle features concealed door handles on the side, with black panels and chrome details along the bottom edge, adding an off-road touch. Unlike existing Dynasty series models, the new SUV sports a BYD logo at the rear instead of the small seal script style emblem seen at the front.

In terms of dimensions, the Yuan UP measures 4,310mm long, 1,830mm wide, 1,675mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,620mm, making it smaller than the Yuan PLUS. However, compared to the Yuan Pro, although the length is shorter, the wheelbase has increased by 85mm, and the width has expanded by 45mm.

Regarding power, as per previous data submitted to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the BYD Yuan UP will feature an all-electric drive system with optional motor power reaching 70kW and 130kW, respectively. The battery, still utilizing BYD's lithium iron phosphate materials, is expected to provide a range exceeding 400 kilometers.
