【SMM Analysis: Lithium Battery Separator Prices Still Under Pressure in January, Is There Still Downward Space in the Future?】SMM January 21 news, in January, the power and energy storage markets entered the off-peak season, and downstream demand further weakened. Some leading cell and power manufacturers have certain order support, resulting in less decline in separator procurement. By January, these manufacturers have gradually joined the reduction team, implementing inventory reduction strategies for their own cells, leading to a significant weakening in separator procurement demand and the continued oversupply in the market. In addition, with the recent settling of some cell manufacturers' 2024 annual agreements and tenders, some separator manufacturers have gradually lowered their prices, approaching the target price of the agreements, causing pressure on separator prices as a whole and further pushing prices downward.
