Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 19, SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("SVOLT"), one of the Chinese main power battery suppliers, celebrated a significant milestone with the production of its 400,000th PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) battery pack at its headquarters in Changzhou city, Jiangsu province. It took the company only four years to reap the achievement.
Currently, SVOLT's high-quality power battery products have been integrated into over 20 PHEV and range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) models under such brands or product series as Geely's Galaxy, VOYAH, Li Auto, and TANK. In 2023 alone, SVOLT's cumulative installation volume in the PHEV sector reached 5.6 GWh, marking an impressive year-on-year surge of 409.1%. This outstanding performance propelled SVOLT Energy to become the sixth-largest power battery supplier in China by annual installation capacity in 2023, reaching 8.69 GWh.
As a testament to SVOLT's commitment to innovation, at the fourth Battery Day, the company announced the upgrade of its 62Ah, 90Ah, and 117Ah PHEV/REEV-dedicated battery products to 2.2C fast charging in the second quarter of this year, emphasizing that the upgrade comes at no additional cost.
At the Battery Day, SVOLT also introduced the world's first lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with an extended range of more than 300km, the world's first nickel manganese cobalt (NCM) battery for hybrid vehicles with a range of more than 350km, and the world's first 800V fast-charging cell for PHEVs. The three new products are set for market launch in the third and fourth quarters in 2024.
