Last week, the average operating rate of galvanising enterprises dipped 1.92 percentage points to 56.60%. Raw material inventory increased as some galvanising companies purchased a lower prices. In the second half of the week, production restrictions occurred in some areas of north China due to environmental protection. Poor orders weakened production enthusiasm at enterprises. Galvanised pipe dealers had sufficient inventory, and the prices of ferrous metals dropped last week. The stagnation of construction at end-users resulted in sluggish sales of galvanised pipe. Finished product inventories increased; in terms of galvanised structural parts, some companies have gradually shut down for holidays, and production enthusiasm has weakened; it is expected that this week, if environmentally-driven production restrictions continue to drive more galvanising companies to close, operating rates will decline.
