Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese leading car rental brand eHi Car Services and the Sino-German joint venture SAIC Volkswagen recently declared a comprehensive strategic partnership. The collaboration is set to encompass various domains, including vehicle procurement, automotive finance, brand marketing, member collaboration, automotive aftermarket, used car sales, and automotive intelligence, signaling a profound and multi-dimensional alliance.

In the intricate landscape of automotive circulation, eHi Car Services and SAIC Volkswagen are poised to leverage their unique strengths, enhancing the overall efficiency in utilizing high-quality car resources. This collaboration aims to foster innovative explorations across all facets of the automotive circulation process.

Founder, Chairman, and CEO of eHi Car Services, Mr. Zhang Ruiping, expressed that the long-standing positive collaboration between eHi and SAIC Volkswagen has laid the foundation for this cemented strategic partnership. He sees this collaboration as a natural progression, stating, "The products from SAIC Volkswagen have consistently garnered acclaim and sales, earning favor among eHi's users. Under the newly formed partnership, the initial delivery of over ten thousand new cars, including popular SAIC Volkswagen models such as the Viloran, the Lavida XR, the Tiguan L, and the Passat, has already commenced. More vehicle models under the joint venture are set to join eHi Car Services' nationwide network of over 10,000 direct-service points across 500 cities. With the upcoming 2024 Spring Festival travel rush, these new vehicles are expected to significantly enhance the travel quality and experience for eHi users, playing a crucial role in ensuring a smooth journey during the festive season.

SAIC Volkswagen stands as one of the most successful automobile joint ventures in China. With headquarters in Shanghai’s Anting Town, the company has established production bases in Nanjing, Yizheng, Urumqi, Ningbo, Changsha cities, producing and selling products under the Volkswagen, Audi, and Skoda brands.

According to public record, eHi Car Services has established over 10,000 direct-operated branches across more than 500 cities in China, offering a diverse fleet of over 200 car models and supporting nationwide return at different service points. In May of this year, eHi became the first in China’s car rental industry to announce the complete elimination of vehicle deposits.
