Data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that in October 2023, China's average daily crude steel output was 2.5513 million mt, a month-on-month decrease of 3.8%, a new low this year; pig iron's average daily output was 2.2319 million mt, a month-on-month decrease of 6.4%; finished steel's average daily output was 3.6681 million mt. mt, a month-on-month decrease of 6.6%.
In October, China's crude steel output was 79.09 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%; pig iron output was 69.19 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 2.8%; finished steel output was 113.71 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%.
From January to October, China's crude steel output was 874.7 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 1.4%; pig iron output was 744.75 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%; finished steel output was 1,144.18 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%.
