The production cost of stainless steel using scrap stainless steel was about 14,364.47 yuan/mt last week, while using high-grade NPI, it was approximately 14,376.80 yuan/mt. This indicates a restored cost performance for high-grade NPI, tough it is still less cost effective than scrap stainless steel.

After recent rapid decline in high-grade NPI prices, its cost effectiveness has improved, and it is expected that it will have better cost performance than scrap stainless steel in the short term.
