SHANGHAI, Oct 19(SMM) – Data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that in September 2023, China's average daily crude steel output was 2.737 million mt, down 1.8% MoM. The pig iron’s average daily output was 2.3847 million mt, down 0.9% MoM. The average daily steel output was 3.9273 million mt, up 4.5% MoM. In September, China’s crude steel output stood at 82.11 million mt, down 5.6% YoY. Pig iron output totaled 71.54 million mt, down 3.3% YoY. Steel output was 117.82 million mt, up 5.5% YoY. From January to September, China's crude steel output stood at 795.07 million mt, up 1.7% YoY. Pig iron production was 675.16 million mt, up 2.8% YoY. Steel output was 1,028.87 million mt, up 6.1% YoY.
