Last week, the average operating rate of galvanising enterprises rose 0.61 percentage point from the previous week to 64.47%. Pre-holiday stockpiling grew raw material inventory. Some companies will still restock and raw material stocks will increase further. In terms of finished product inventory, as ferrous metals prices strengthened in the first half of last week, downstream galvanised pipe dealers were more enthusiastic about stockpiling before the holidays, improving sales. That led to a rebound in the operating rates of galvanised pipe plants and lowered finished product inventories. In terms of structural parts, operating rates of various sectors remained stable, and there was no significant increase in orders. According to SMM survey, some galvanising plants have plans to suspend production during the National Day holidays. The operating rates of galvanising companies will decline this week.
