According to SMM survey, the average operating rate of zinc oxide enterprises was 61.3% last week, down 1.2 percentage points.
Zinc oxide plants refrained from purchasing zinc ingots amid stronger zinc prices. The rising zinc prices drove galvanising plants to sell zinc slag aggressively. Zinc oxide plants that used zinc slag purchased as required. The overall raw material inventory declined.
The selling prices of zinc oxide finished products rose slightly but that did not affect orders noticeably. Downstream companies purchased as required. Any decline in the operating rates of zinc oxide plants will be limited in the near term.
