Last week, the average operating rate of galvanising enterprises rose 1.06 percentage points to 65.89%.
The rise in zinc prices depressed the enthusiasm for purchasing. Meanwhile, previous buying on the dip ensured adequate inventories. Zinc ingot inventories thus declined. In terms of galvanised pipes, a series of domestic favourable policies pushed up ferrous metals prices. Sales of enterprises improved, and finished product inventories declined, driving up the operating rates of galvanised pipe companies.
Some galvanised pipe companies were bearish over the traditional peak season between September and October, and were cautious in arranging production. In terms of galvanised structural parts, the operating rates remained stable. Operating rates of galvanising plants will remain stable this week.
