Last week the average operating rate of galvanising enterprises fell 0.17 percentage point from the previous week to 64.83%. Shipments of zinc ingots purchased the previous week at lows arrived, growing raw material inventory slightly. In terms of galvanised pipes, the good macro news drove ferrous metals prices to rise in the second half of the week. Meanwhile, the transportation improved. The sales of enterprises thus increased slightly, slightly lowering the inventory of finished products.
Operating rates at galvanised pipe plants stabilised. On the galvanised structural parts front, galvanised steel towers and galvanised photovoltaic mount plants maintained high operating rates. Other sectors saw no improvement amid poor orders. Operating rates of galvanising plants are expected to rise this week as the peak season from September to October nears.
