According to foreign news on August 18, outgoing Chilean state-owned copper miner Codelco CEO Andre Sougarret said on Friday that despite initial delays in the operation of the Chuqui underground mine, the company expects to meet its production targets in the next few years.
Codelco added that it would use "alternative actions" to extract material from the El Teniente mine following delays in its planned expansion.
