China Iron and Steel Association: The Increase In Domestic Steel Prices Narrowed In March

On April 24, the China Iron and Steel Association issued a document pointing out that as the weather improves, the domestic market is gradually entering the peak consumption season. Judging from the situation of the major downstream steel-using industries in March, the demand for steel for infrastructure and manufacturing is basically stable, but the real estate industry continues to fall. Affected by this, although steel prices continued to rise in March, the month-on-month increase narrowed. Since April, the price of steel has changed from rising to falling. According to the monitoring of the Iron and Steel Association, at the end of March, the China Steel Price Index (CSPI) was 118.54 points, an increase of 0.31 points from the previous month, an increase of 0.26%, and a decrease of 2.35 percentage points from the previous month.
