SHANGHAI, Apr 3 (SMM) – At present, aluminium smelters still rely on long-term orders, with little interest in purchasing from the spot market. Considering the low stocks on hand, alumina refineries in north China are unlikely to dump cargoes at lower prices for the time being. The situation is different in south-west China, where some alumina refineries who have plentiful inventories have already begun to lower offers due to faltering demand caused by aluminium capacity cuts in Yunnan.
