SHANGHAI, Mar 24 (SMM) – On March 23, 2023, the China Iron and Steel Industry Association (CISA) held a symposium on the development of domestic iron ore resources under the Cornerstone Plan in Ma'anshan city, Anhui province. Luo Tiejun, vice president of the CISA, emphasised that efforts will be made in the following four aspects in the next step: 1. fully understand the significance of accelerating the development of domestic iron ore resources; 2. lay a solid foundation, take the initiative, and attach great importance to the information sheet of iron ore projects; 3. Make careful evaluation of costs, and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of resource development projects; 4. Make long-term plans and accelerate the exploration and development of domestic iron ore resources, as well as beef up reserves and production.
