On Thursday (March 23), the most active April gold contract price on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose $46.3/oz from the previous trading day to close at $1,995.9/oz, an increase of 2.37%.

SHANGHAI, Mar 24 (SMM) - On Thursday (March 23), the most active April gold contract price on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose $46.3/oz from the previous trading day to close at $1,995.9/oz, an increase of 2.37%.

Spot gold rose by more than 1.4% within a day, and the two once breaching the $2,000/oz mark.
