SHANGHAI, Mar 16 (SMM) - TCs of domestic spot zinc concentrate continued to drop sharply on a weekly basis last week, and those of imported zinc concentrate fell slightly. The reasons are as follows. 1. Output growth of imported zinc concentrates declined due to the shutdown of Australia's Dugald River zinc mine and the Century zinc mine caused by heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, some Chinese zinc mines have not yet resumed production. 2. Chinese smelters ran at high operating rates spurred by high profits. As a result, the contradiction between zinc concentrate supply and demand was highlighted, leading to a continuous reduction in overall zinc concentrate TCs.
