SHANGHAI, Mar 9 (SMM) – According to SMM survey, China’s antimony ingot output (including antimony ingot, crude antimony, antimony cathode, etc.) in February fell sharply by 7.68% MoM to 5,820 mt, the lowest in recent years.

In terms of production details of individual manufacturer, among the 33 respondents in SMM survey, 15 manufacturers suspended the production, one more than the previous month; 14 reduced their production, up by 1; and 4 maintained normal production, one fewer than in January.

SMM predicts that the supply-demand structure of the domestic antimony market in March 2023 will not be overturned under the current economic situation. China’s antimony ingot output in March is anticipated to decline on a monthly basis.

Notes: SMM starts to disclose the output of antimony ingots (including antimony ingots, crude antimony, antimony cathode, etc.) since May 2022.

Thanks to high coverage of the antimony industry, SMM has successfully investigated a total of 33 antimony ingot manufacturers, which are located in 8 provinces across the country, with a total capacity of nearly 20,000 mt and a total capacity coverage rate of over 99%.
