Peru Silver, Gold Output Declined

Tin production fell 63 percent, as the country's sole tin producer, Minsur, halted production at its San Rafael tin mine in the Puno region in mid-January amid violent protests. The mine resumed production last week.

Silver production fell 19.9 percent, molybdenum 12.4 percent, zinc 6.9 percent, gold 6.8 percent and lead 6.7 percent.
