SHANGHAI, Feb 27 (SMM) - Nickel ore arrivals at ports stood low. As of February 17, the volume was 393,000 wmt, down 35% WoW, with a relatively considerable amount of goods arriving at Lianyungang and Lanshan ports. The low nickel ore arrivals were caused by the rainy season in the Philippines. Besides, the NPI plants were less willing to buy nickel ore amid the low NPI prices, and the factories still held some raw material stocks. Arrivals of nickel ore may grow when the Surigao Port resumes normal operation.
