On February 23, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) released a brief overview of the operation of China photovoltaic manufacturing industry in January 2023. According to China Photovoltaic Industry Association, the output of solar-grade polysilicon across China added 1% month-on-month and 36.5% year-on-year; the output of silicon wafers fell 11.9% month-on-month and 4.1% year-on-year, among which monocrystalline silicon wafers output accounted for about 98.3%. Battery cell output dipped 5.6% month-on-month but grew 24.8% year-on-year, of which monocrystalline battery cell output accounted for approximately 94.7%. Module output dropped 16.8% month-on-month but increased 18.3% year-on-year, of which monocrystalline module production accounted for about 99.5%. The output of inverters fell 5.5% from the previous month.
