Hebei to Eliminate Small Blast Furnaces and Promote Switch to Electric Furnace-Based Steel Production

Hebei announced in its latest plan that blast furnaces below 1,000 cubic meters and pelletizing shaft furnaces will be eliminated in an all-round way, and will push for the transformation of blast furnace-converter steelmaking process into electric furnace-based process.
