Indonesia Considers Export Tariffs on Processed Nickel to Boost Revenue Amid Global Uncertainties

[SMM Nickel Flash] According to a CNBC Indonesia report on March 27, Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia revealed that the government was studying the imposition of export tariffs on processed nickel products, particularly NPI, to address global uncertainties and increase state fiscal revenue. At present, the Indonesian government was still calculating the applicable formula, plan, and tariff rate level for the NPI export tax.
