SMM February 4 news: According to market rumors, the recent public tender for 32 mt of crude selenium by a major plant in east China was reportedly fully and successfully transacted. Although the official transaction price was not disclosed, some market participants involved in the bidding revealed that the final actual transaction price was around 185 yuan/kg. Market participants indicated that the tender results for selenium once again set a recent high, and the upward trend in selenium prices continued unabated. This suggests that despite the crude selenium market approaching the end of the year, buying interest from end-users and speculative buyers showed no signs of weakening.
