In January 2026, Hainan Xingzhihai New Materials Co., Ltd. achieved a strong start to the year, with lithium hydroxide output reaching 1,216.5 tonnes for the month, surpassing its planned target by 16.5 tonnes. The company stated that enhanced production scheduling, optimized quality control, and strengthened safety management measures ensured stable operations and steady output growth.

The company added that it will continue to optimize production organization and strengthen safety management in line with its annual plan, aiming to successfully achieve its full-year production and operational targets.

[SMM New Energy] MGL to invest RMB929m in a 30,000 mt/yr Li-ion cathode material project.

MGL announced that the company plans to invest 929M yuan to build an annual 30,000 mt lithium-ion battery cathode material project, with Phase I investment at 737M yuan and Phase II investment at 192M yuan. The project is expected to achieve an annual output of 5,000 mt high-voltage LCO, 10,000 mt NCA material, and 15,000 mt ultra-high nickel ternary cathode material.
