As survey conducted by SMM on the 6th of March, total iron ore inventories across 10 major ports stood at 117.91 million tonnes, representing a week-on-week decrease of 960,000 tonnes. This overall reduction was led by a slight destocking of coarse fines and lump ore, while inventories of concentrate and pellets experienced a minor accumulation.

【SMM Steel】Peru's Indecopi reported its AD probe on Chinese wire rod is in the final phase. A public hearing was held Feb 27, with the final decision due in March. The probe followed a complaint by local steelmaker Aceros Arequipa. Provisional duties of $64.6/ton were imposed in July 2025 but expired in Nov 2025 after four months. Products: 5.5-16 mm wire rods under HS codes 7213.20.00.00, etc.
