Produção de cobre e zinco da Central Asia Metals supera a do ano passado

Central Asia Metals (CAML) anunciou que, graças à melhoria da eficiência operacional, sua produção de cobre e zinco nos primeiros cinco meses de 2026 superou a do mesmo período do ano passado. A produção de cobre da operação Kounrad, no Cazaquistão, totalizou 5.141 toneladas, um aumento de quase 4% em relação ao ano anterior. Enquanto isso, a mina Sasa, na Macedônia do Norte, produziu 7.566 toneladas de zinco em concentrado, um crescimento superior a 2% na comparação anual. Em termos de preços, a empresa registrou preços realizados significativamente mais altos no período. O preço médio do cobre atingiu US$ 13.076 por tonelada, um salto expressivo de quase 40% ante o ano passado, enquanto a cotação média do zinco subiu 19%, para US$ 3.299 por tonelada. Além disso, as tarifas de tratamento historicamente baixas para o chumbo, que se tornaram negativas, impulsionaram ainda mais as receitas da Sasa. O CEO Gavin Ferrar destacou que o grupo se prepara para apresentar forte rentabilidade e geração de caixa no primeiro semestre de 2026. No momento, a empresa avança ativamente na aquisição da australiana Cygnus Metals, anunciada na semana passada, para expandir sua atuação em um projeto de cobre-ouro de alto teor em Quebec, no Canadá. A companhia mantém elevada confiança no cumprimento de sua projeção de produção para o ano inteiro (12.000 a 13.000 toneladas de cobre, 18.000 a 20.000 toneladas de concentrados de zinco e 26.000 a 28.000 toneladas de concentrados de chumbo).

In addition, the second-phase 5,500-mt production line of the “High-Precision Electrolytic Copper Foil Project with an Annual Capacity of 10,000 mt” raised investment project is advancing equipment installation and commissioning, and the commissioning time is subject to uncertainty.
