In November 2024, China's production of high-purity manganese sulphate increased MoM but showed a significant YoY decline. The slight increase in November production was mainly due to the resumption of normal production by some enterprises, which had temporarily halted operations in October due to environmental protection inspections in Guangxi, leading to an increase in market supply. However, some enterprises remain pessimistic about the future market outlook, adopting conservative production plans and opting to cut production to avoid a surplus in inventory. Overall, market supply remains lower compared to 2023. It is expected that in December, as the year-end approaches, downstream demand for ternary cathode precursors may stabilize, with most transactions based on long-term orders and limited spot purchases. China's production of high-purity manganese sulphate is expected to decrease slightly.
