Tesla sells USD 890 million worth of EVs and batteries to SpaceX

SpaceX said in a prospectus filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on May 20 local time that it purchased Tesla’s Megapack energy storage systems over the two years from 2024.

The transaction value was USD 506 million in 2024 and USD 191 million in 2025.

SpaceX also purchased USD 131 million worth of Cybertrucks from Tesla last year. Considering the vehicle’s price of around KRW 100 million per unit, SpaceX is estimated to have bought more than 1,900 units.

Tesla’s revenue from transactions with SpaceX is estimated at around USD 890 million.
