This week, processing prices in the graphitisation tolling services market showed no significant fluctuations. Constrained by the large gap in self-owned integrated capacity at tier-1 and tier-2 anode producers, outsourced graphitisation processing orders maintained high-level growth. With demand recovery, tight supply, and persistently high production costs, expectations for price hikes still prevailed in the market. However, after a round of slight price adjustments early this month, some tolling operations emerged from loss-making situations, but overall industry profits remained thin. Amid the tug-of-war between upstream and downstream, market conditions were temporarily in a stalemate. Looking ahead, as downstream demand continues to recover, anode producers’ desire to bargain down prices is pulling back to secure stable supply, and graphitisation tolling processing fees are expected to rise gradually going forward.
