【SMM Steel】Vietnam's Hoa Phat launches new 400,000-ton steel pipe factory

【SMM Steel】Hoa Phat Long An opened a new 400,000 t/y steel pipe plant in Tay Ninh in Jan. The $102m, 15-hectare facility employs nearly 1,000 workers. A 10 MW rooftop solar system covers >50% of its power needs. This lifts Hoa Phat's total pipe capacity to 1.2 Mt/y. The plant aims to supply domestic markets and pursue new export partnerships. It's strategically located between HCMC and the Mekong Delta.
