China's Fluorite Prices Edge Lower Post-Holiday Amid Loose Supply, Sluggish Demand
[SMM Aluminum News Flash] After the holiday, China's 97% fluorite powder delivery-to-factory prices continued to edge lower, with mainstream transaction ranges maintained at 3,200–3,500 yuan/mt and notable regional price spreads. Although earlier rises in hydrofluoric acid prices provided sentiment support for fluorite, and delayed resumption of operations at Zhejiang mines along with locally low inventory still offered some support, loose supply combined with sluggish spot trades meant the overall market remained mainly in the doldrums with slight weakness.

Petroleum Coke Market Sees Support as Supply Tightens and Demand Recovers Post-Holiday

Coal Tar Pitch Prices Decline Amid Weak Demand and High Supply, Market Remains Sluggish
[SMM Aluminum News Flash] In the coal tar pitch market, upstream high-temperature coal tar prices continued to decline, significantly weakening cost support. Deep-processing enterprises maintained high operating rates, leading to persistently loose supply. Combined with downstream prebaked anode and other industries pushing for lower prices on rigid demand and insufficient purchasing enthusiasm, both supply and demand sides lacked upward momentum. In the short term, the coal tar pitch price center is likely to remain under pressure, with the market in the doldrums.
