SHFE Cast Aluminum Alloy Warrants Down 40 mt to 33,203 mt on June 25

[SMM Flash] SHFE data showed that on June 25, the total registered warrants for cast aluminum alloy were 33,203 mt, a decrease of 40 mt from the previous trading day. Specifically, the total registered warrants in Shanghai were 3,558 mt, unchanged from the previous trading day; in Guangdong, 5,462 mt, an increase of 263 mt; in Jiangsu, 7,505 mt, a decrease of 60 mt; in Zhejiang, 10,517 mt, a decrease of 213 mt; in Chongqing, 5,316 mt, a decrease of 30 mt; and in Sichuan, 845 mt, unchanged from the previous trading day.

Yongjie New Materials Completes Acquisition of Arconic Assets for $236M
Recently, Yongjie New Materials announced that the transfer of the underlying assets in its major asset restructuring, involving the cash acquisition of relevant assets from Arconic (China) Investment Co., Ltd., has been completed. The company now holds a 100% equity interest in Arconic (Qinhuangdao) Aluminum Industries Co., Ltd. and a 95% equity interest in Arconic (Kunshan) Aluminum Products Co., Ltd. As of the announcement date, Yongjie New Materials had paid a total of RMB 1.605 billion (equivalent to $236 million) into the regulatory account, of which RMB 247 million came from its own funds, RMB 257 million from the changed-use IPO proceeds, and RMB 1.1 billion from bank M&A loans.

This week, the operating rate at China's leading downstream aluminum processing enterprises came in at 63%, down 0.4 percentage points MoM. Weighed down by the deepening seasonal off-season across the sector, downstream purchase willingness was broadly subdued, and operating rates across most segments remained under pressure. Primary aluminum alloy held steady at 59.4%, as enterprises mainly focused on executing existing long-term contracts, with no release of new spot orders.
