Irish forklift manufacturer Combilift has highlighted the growing importance of efficient material handling across the aluminium value chain. The company specialises in multi-directional forklifts designed to transport long aluminium products such as extrusions, profiles, bars and coils in confined production and warehouse environments. Combilift’s equipment allows operators to change travel direction by 90 degrees, improving safety and efficiency when handling long loads in narrow aisles. The company said its warehouse optimisation solutions have helped some customers increase storage capacity by up to 100% without expanding facilities. Combilift has sold more than 95,000 units in over 85 countries and continues to invest in electric, automated and energy-efficient handling technologies. The company believes advanced material handling systems can help aluminium producers improve productivity, reduce operating costs and support sustainability goals.
