SMM May 28 News:
This week, artificial graphite anode material prices remained stable. Raw material prices edged down during the current period, but due to the lag in production cycles, enterprises were still absorbing previously high-priced raw materials, and cost support remained solid. Demand continued to recover, with leading anode enterprises experiencing tight capacity supply. However, overall industry capacity remained in a surplus state, and outsourced processing demand still had room for release. Natural graphite anode prices also remained stable this week. Currently, circulating supply in the market was sufficient with relatively high spot cargo inventory, exerting some downward pressure on prices. However, upstream raw material prices remained firm at high levels, establishing a rigid cost floor that effectively offset the bearish impact of ample supply. Looking ahead, changes in the supply-demand pattern and fluctuations in raw material costs will be the core factors influencing the direction of anode material prices.
