Jiangsu Huachen Signs Yuan 221 Million Energy Storage Equipment Contract

Jiangsu Huachen announced that it has signed an equipment sales contract with Ningxia Tianpuxin Technology Co., Ltd. for energy storage PCS and step-up integrated units, with a total contract value of Yuan 221 million. The company said successful execution of the contract is expected to have a positive impact on its operating results this year and in the future.

Honda Starts Producing ESS Batteries for AI Data Centers at Ohio Plant

Honda Motor has begun producing batteries for artificial intelligence (AI) data center energy storage systems (ESS) at its Ohio facility in the US, which was originally built for electric vehicle battery production. The plant, established through a joint venture with LG Energy Solution, has shifted part of its capacity to ESS batteries following slower-than-expected EV demand. Honda said the facility will also be capable of producing hybrid vehicle batteries in the future, with output adjusted according to market demand.

Yunnan Energy Wins Bid for 100MW/400MWh Vanadium Flow Battery Storage Project

Yunnan Energy announced that it has been selected as the developer of the 100MW/400MWh Ninglang independent shared energy storage project in Lijiang, Yunnan Province. The project, which has been included in Yunnan's 2026 new shared energy storage project list, will adopt a grid-forming vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) energy storage system and is scheduled to be commissioned within two years. The company said the project will strengthen its new energy business, although it remains subject to regulatory approvals.
