Korean company PKC announced that it has made its first shipment of 20 tonnes of phosphorus trichloride (PCl₃) produced at its Saemangeum Plant 1. The shipment was supplied as a paid sample for approval to a global top-tier fine chemical materials company specializing in high-performance antioxidants.
The customer plans to use the material as a test feedstock in its antioxidant production process and begin full-scale quality verification.
PKC’s phosphorus trichloride (PCl₃) and phosphorus pentachloride (PCl₅), which are being mass-produced at Saemangeum Plant 1, are key raw materials used in secondary battery electrolytes and fine chemical products.
