LG Energy Solution announced on April 24 that it has shipped the first batch of batteries for the Zarnowiec ESS project in Poland, jointly developed with PGE.
The project is one of the largest energy storage systems in Europe, with a total output of 262 MW and storage capacity of 981 MWh. It will consist of 204 containerized units, each weighing approximately 45 tons, with installation progressing at an average rate of four units per day.
