[SMM New Energy] Over 1B Yuan Invested: 2GWh Special-Purpose Solid-State Battery R&D and Production Project Commences

Dali Era Energy Co., Ltd. has officially broken ground on its Wide-Temperature High-Rate Advanced Special-Purpose Lithium Battery R&D and Production Base in the Dali Economic and Technological Development Zone, Yunnan. With a total investment exceeding 1 billion yuan, the project covers 80 acres and has an 8-month construction timeline. Once operational, it will reach an annual capacity of 2GWh, targeting an annual revenue of 1.5 billion yuan and creating over 300 jobs. This facility focuses on advanced solid-state and special-purpose battery technologies designed for extreme environmental performance.

It was learned from State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. that as of March 18, 2026, Xinjiang's cumulative outbound transmission of new energy electricity reached 304.36 billion kWh, surpassing the 300 billion kWh mark and accounting for about 30% of its total outbound electricity transmission. Xinjiang was an important power-sending region for the country's west-to-east power transmission and green electricity exports. By the end of 2025, Xinjiang had completed the construction of six 10-million-kW-level new energy bases, with installed new energy capacity reaching 169 million kW, accounting for 64% of Xinjiang's total installed capacity.
