CATL Collaborates with Two UK Institutions to Develop European Energy Storage Projects

Project modification for the Inner Mongolia Hydrogen Power Technology Dalat Banner grid-side independent energy storage demo project has been approved. Located in Dalat Economic Development Zone, Ordos, the project has a total investment of 153.332 million yuan and energy storage capacity of 2 MW / 4 MWh, using an all‑hydrogen energy storage system. It comprises water electrolysis, hydrogen storage, and fuel cell power generation, equipped with: 12×1,000 Nm³/h alkaline electrolysers 2×1 MW hydrogen fuel cell systems 90,000 Nm³hydrogen storage

This week, Renexia, a developer in Italy's renewable energy sector, officially announced the successful deployment of an AXYS FLiDAR WindSentinel floating LiDAR system at the "Med Wind" floating wind farm site—the Strait of Sicily—which is under planning by CNOOC. The system will undertake a 12-month meteorological and oceanographic data measurement campaign, aiming to provide reliable and solid data support for this landmark project.

Recently, China Construction Decheng announced the bidding results for energy storage projects in Denmark and Spain. The total capacity of these energy storage systems reached 1.12 GW/2.4 GWh, and four suppliers—CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Envision Energy, Sungrow, and Great Power Energy—successfully won the bids, with the winning prices ranging between 0.8362 and 1.0431 yuan/Wh. The energy storage project covers eight projects in Denmark and Spain, with a procurement scale of 1,116.5 MW/2,427.72 MWh. The total investment amounted to 2.5 billion yuan, which translates to a unit price of approximately 1.0297 yuan/Wh. It is worth mentioning that in October of last year, China Construction Decheng signed cooperation agreements with Denmark's DRSOLAR and NORLA for a 2.5 GWh energy storage project. The project will adopt an LFP battery system and an intelligent energy management system.
