SMM February 13: Today was the last trading day before the Chinese New Year. The e-bike lead-acid battery market experienced weak consumption, and producers have generally entered the holiday period. Except for a few enterprises whose offices will remain open until February 14, factory workshops mostly began holidays at the start of the week. On the dealer side, most dealers started holidays this week, while some local dealers and retailers are expected to resume business on February 19-20.

According to SMM, as of February 24, the total social inventory of SMM lead ingots across five locations exceeded the 60,000 mt mark, rising to a five-month high. During the Chinese New Year holiday, due to varying holiday schedules among upstream and downstream enterprises, lead-acid battery enterprises had longer holidays than smelters, leading to an inventory buildup of lead ingots during the holiday period.
