Lead-Acid Battery Market Fully Resumed Operations, Weekly Operating Rate Surged by 42.41% [SMM Lead-Acid Battery Weekly Operating Rate Comment]

Published: Mar 6, 2026 16:46

According to market sources, the weekly composite operating rate of SMM lead-acid battery enterprises across five provinces was 71.68% from February 27 to March 5, 2026, up 42.41 percentage points WoW.

After the Lantern Festival, the lead-acid battery market entered a full recovery, with major producers basically resuming production. As more workers returned to their posts, production gradually ramped up, driving a sharp rise in the weekly operating rate of lead-acid battery enterprises. End-use consumption in the e-bike and automotive lead-acid battery markets was average, but after the holiday, dealers carried out routine, demand-based restocking for rigid needs. Producers’ orders were moderate, operating willingness increased, and some large enterprises’ production lines had already been pushed to near full capacity. Next week, as the vast majority of enterprises resume work, only some enterprises will still have room to ramp up output, and the subsequent increase in the weekly operating rate will slow down.
