Reform Energy & MCC Wuye Partner on Ningxia Green Hydrogen Project

【SMM Hydrogen Energy Flash】On February 9, Reform Energy and MCC Wuye Group Co., Ltd. officially joined hands and signed a cooperation agreement, establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership. Meanwhile, the two parties also jointly inked a cooperation memorandum for the Ningxia Solar Mountain Wind-Solar-Hydrogen-Methanol Integrated Project.
Moving forward, both sides will jointly push forward the construction of wind and solar renewable energy-based hydrogen production projects, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to promote the development of green methanol synthesis projects, jointly building a benchmark project for the "green power-green hydrogen-green methanol" industrial chain in Northwest China.

[SMM Hydrogen Energy Express] On February 11, Handan Biomass Green Methanol Phase I Project issued a tender for the biomass gasification process package and technical services. The project's main entity is Windey Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. It is understood that the project primarily adopts the biomass pressurized bubbling fluidized bed gasification process, with the scope of the process package extending from the atmospheric raw material receiving bin of the gasification framework to the outlet of the syngas scrubber, including the ash and slag discharge unit, and wastewater discharge after ammonia stripping treatment.

ACC Suspends Battery Gigafactory Plans in Italy and Germany Amid Lower EV Demand
European Automotive Battery Company (ACC) has officially announced the suspension of its plans to build battery gigafactories in Italy and Germany. ACC, jointly funded by Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, and TotalEnergies, was originally expected to enhance the autonomy of the European EV supply chain. However, due to lower-than-expected demand in the EV market, Stellantis recently announced a €22 billion loss and correspondingly scaled back its electrification investments. CEO Antonio Filosa stated that the actual required battery capacity will be significantly lower than initially planned.
