【SMM Steel】Egypt introduced final safeguard measures on imported flat steel, effective Apr 2, 2026, following an 116% surge in HR imports and 86% jump in CR/galvanized/color-coated steel (2021-2024). Duties decrease annually over three years. Year 1: HR 13.6% (min $76/t), CR 13.7% (min $83/t), galvanized 14.0% (min $93/t), color-coated 14.5% (min $122/t). Rates drop in years 2 & 3.
