BASF battery materials and CATL sign framework agreement on cathode active material (CAM)

On July 28, BASF announced that it had signed a cathode active material (CAM) framework agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL).

According to the agreement, the two parties will collaborate in the field of advanced and innovative cathode active materials.

CATL has selected BASF as a key supplier. BASF will support CATL's global layout through its global production network.

Our diversified and localized production layout for innovative cathode materials will support CATL's global business development," said Dr. Daniel Schönfelder, President of BASF's battery materials division. "We are committed to the global battery industry and will continue to leverage the partnership between CATL and BASF's battery materials division.
