Geely Automobile’s Apr. auto sales jump 39% YoY

Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (Geely Automobile) recently announced its monthly sales reached 153,267 vehicles in April, jumping 39% year on year and rising approximately 2% month on month.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (Geely Automobile) recently announced its monthly sales reached 153,267 vehicles in April, jumping 39% year on year and rising approximately 2% month on month.

Among them, sales of new energy vehicles (including battery-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles) reached 51,428 units in the past month, zooming up about 75% from a year ago and climbing approximately 15% from the previous month.

In the first four months of 2024, Geely Automobile's cumulative sales amounted to 628,987 units, representing a year-on-year surge of 47%. Year-to-date sales of new energy vehicles reached 195,553 units, marking a remarkable 120.43% year-on-year spike.

Breaking down the sales by brand, in April, GEELY brand (including GEOME) sold 118,451 vehicles, up 35% year-on-year. Its mid-to-high-end new energy vehicle range, Galaxy, sold 12,725 vehicles in April, representing a 25% increase month-on-month.

Lynk & Co sold 18,727 vehicles in April, indicating a 34% year-on-year leap.

Meanwhile, the premium new energy vehicle brand ZEEKR delivered 16,089 vehicles in April, nearly doubled from a year ago (+99% YoY), achieving another monthly delivery record.

Notably, in April, Geely Automobile's overseas sales reached a historic high of 38,151 units, shooting up 75% from the previous year while rising 5% from the previous month.
