Zinc TCs Flat MoM

SHANGHAI, Aug 4 (SMM) - TCs in Yunnan were muted amid import restrictions in Myanmar and Vietnam. Although power curtailment in Yunnan has intensified, the output at local smelters was less affected as they have been subject to off-peak production.

Output in Guangxi has been affected by intensifying power restrictions. But due to the congestion at Fangchenggang Port, arrivals of imported zinc were limited. TCs remained unchanged in August in the place.

TCs in August in Hunan rose 100 yuan/mt on the month as Hunan Zhuzhou Smelter planned to implement maintenance in mid-August.

TCs in Inner Mongolia remained unchanged due to energy consumption restrictions and thin planned arrivals of imported zinc concentrate.

TCs in Shaanxi increased 100-200 yuan/mt in metal content as Baiyin and other smelters planned maintenance and imported zinc concentrate is planned to arrive at ports.
